The Idea
Ahjané, an avid carnival enthusiast, found herself repeatedly missing out on the festivities due to concerns about fitness, confidence, outfit planning, and logistics. Determined to join the parade, she realized that many others faced similar hurdles. After attending Boss Chick Caribbean themed dance fitness classes with Simone, she knew she could dance her way to fit and fabulous for carnival!
Collaboratively, Ahjané and Simone created Couch 2 Carnival, a program designed to not only address these exact challenges but also to build an amazing community of carnival loving women.
Our vision is to transform countless carnival dreams into vibrant realities by empowering all women to participate in the carnival with ease, joy, and confidence.
Your Creatrixes
Simone Sobers, CEO and Creator of the Boss Chick Dance Workout® has over three decades of dance training, an MFA in Dance, professional performance experience with some of the hottest artists in hip-hop, dancehall, and Afrobeats, and is an ACE certified personal trainer. Her passion for the empowerment and evolution of women on and off the dance floor is the essence of our program.
Dr. Ahjané Billingsley is a vibrant soul, wearing many hats: Healing & Sacred Arts Practitioner, Wellness Alchemist, Retreat Visionary, Curator, and Leader. With a zest for personal transformation, collective well-being, and joyous celebration, Ahjané's mission is to cultivate transformative spaces and profound experiences that deeply move, inspire, and evoke a renewed sense of purpose.
